As the end draws nearer, one can help but wonder where did all the time go? I keep telling people that I never liked farewells and here I go, saying it again. You would have thought that having experienced life for a considerable amount of years would have prepared you for such circumstances but personally, it's always been a battle. A clash of emotions, if you will. The despair of 'leaving a place/people' and 'going back to another/moving on to different pastures' is always the devil and the deep blue sea for me.
Perhaps we'll come back/meet again some time in the future but as reality so often unkindly portrays, these are unlikely to happen. The best bet would be to just live each day to its fullest and yet not let go of the memories that have been made. I will certainly miss Cardiff and to a much lesser extent, the U.K. but I am also a excited to go back to the arms of family and friends back home.
On a happier note, I hope the weather holds up. It's been quite rainy the past week but sunny these few days. If it continues this way then a picnic will be on the cards. Now...what are we going to eat....
