In the Name of the Father

To : The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, The Head of the Judiciary of Iran Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, Minister of the Interior of Iran Hojatoleslam Mustafa Purmohammadi and Speaker of Parliament of Iran Gholamali

Do you believe in capital punishment? Ms. Delara is awaiting execution after having exhausted her appeals. She is convicted of murdering her relations when she was a minor. Her guilt notwithstanding, Iran is under international obligations to commute her sentence.

Iran being a signatory of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is prohibited from the use of the death penalty against people convicted of crimes committed when they were under 18. Art. 37 clearly states so.

Please send your appeals to

- The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei

- Head of the Judiciary Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi
Email: info@dadiran.ir

- Judiciary spokesperson Alireza Jamshidi
Email: info@a-jamshidi.ir

I have sent mine. I will reproduce it here if her sentence is commuted.

There was another case but I have since forgotten the name of the poor girl who was stoned to death. It just breaks my heart to see such blatant violence in the name of justice. Next on my case watch is Malak Ghorbany.
