EaRtHqUaKe!!!

A quake measuring 8.7 on the Richter scale hit the Indonesian Sumatra region early today, leaving damaged buildings in its wake in Thailand and Sumatra. Luckily no casualties were reported in Malaysia.

A couple of my friends said they felt the shock but I didn't. :/ I would have been a great experience though, and I'm sorry I missed it. I'll be more alert next time. This just goes to show that Malaysia isn't as safe as she used to be. With the advent of so many geographical and climate changes over the past few decades. I should probably prepare a contingency plan just in case. I believe we all should have one in the event of any calamities. We'll never know...

Deja Vu

Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? - Morpheus

Like so many other times, I've had yet another dream that was so vivid and detailed I'm beginning to wonder if it really is a dream at all. Have you ever experienced one of those? Initially, I was wont to believe that a dream is just a dream, a mere abstraction from my usual state of mind but I have noticed that my dreams are getting more vivid and detailed, almost like a movie in itself with all the tiny details checking out. Maybe it has always been like that and I just probably didn't realise it. :/

Sometimes I feel the dreams that I have are original Hollywood materials, worthy of a couple of Oscars. The next time another brainwave hits me, I'll try to remember to put it to paper and maybe work on it. Who knows, maybe you'll see me up in the podium thanking my fans, family, my actors with my hand clutching a golden statuette or two. ;) Wishful thinking... :P

Mat Skodeng Scums

Read

Finally, a breath of democracy and freedom after a long, nauseous wait for some form of resuscitation. Ever since the inception of this so called "Morality Squad", many quarters have voiced their displeasure and protest but does the State government listen? NO. These so moral zealots seem very enthusiastic in chasing down promiscuous teenagers, perhaps just to satisfy their sick lust. Or their sadism and their perverted ideologies. Youths (I'm betting the regular Peeping Toms and sexually-depraved religious fiends and their brethren) are being roped in and given powers to go on snooping on the pretext of halting moral decadence. When the suggestion went as far as to say that non-Muslims will be targeted, that just hit the roof for me. Bloody fanatics!

Quote:
Mat Skodeng adviser Hassan Rahman said: "I am quite disappointed that we have been directed to disband. Members of the unit were instrumental in getting religious officers to act against four couples who were committing khalwat.

"However, we accept it and I will try to encourage my boys not to be disheartened," he said.

He said that about RM7,000 had been spent on the Mat Skodeng squad.

This just illustrates how bigoted these people can be. "I will try to encourage my boys not to be disheartened" ?? What the heck!... They are disheartened that their license to spy got revoked? Their authorized Peeping Tom carte blanche taken away? Why would you need RM 7000 to recruit these hot-blooded youths to spy on people? Perhaps they need it for the camouflage suits? High-definition cameras? Night vision goggles? Heck, it could be blank VCD's to make copies to be distributed??

The entire 4B Youth Movement should be taken to the firing range and shot point blank. To top it off, the Chief Minister of Melaka, the ever sugar coating politician, is in cohorts with his cronies in this mess. Shoot them I say...shoot them all! Feed them to the crocodiles of the Melaka Crocodile Farm, no wait, just dismember them and scatter them in the many infamous couple make-out areas. Heck, that'll do a better job of keeping youths from any hanky-panky.

On a sidenote, one of their committee member has been fined for polygamy. Go figure... sick people who themselves are morally decadent but wants to go and punish morally wayward teenagers.

Nurses in White Uniforms..

The corridors of Mahkota Medical Centre seemed like the proverbial tunnel with a shining bright light at the end as I made my way to see my dad. Not even the assemblage of young nurses in pristine white uniforms caught my attention as I made my way to Ward 7A room 703. Thank goodness nothing much happened. Dad was feeling pretty much alright except for the throbbing pain emasculating his body.

Basic rooms cost RM65 (4 beds) while a VVIP room costs RM 354. The room isn't even as fanciful as a single room in a 5 star hotel. Put a small TV, cupboard, and a sofa and there ya go, VVIP room. Geez..If it were up to me, I'd stay in the Centry Mahkota just across the street and check back into the hospital when it's time for screenings and checkups. With RM 354, I can rent a deluxe suite with all the fancy trimmings entailed like buffet b/fast,lunch, maybe some spa, not to mention the POOL. The spacious room, the much bigger TV set, the ample bed and of course the other fine decor. Having said that, I DO realise that staying in the hospital is a much better choice despite not having all the luxury that comes with the same amount of money spent in a hotel. It is just not worth it. Stay in the hotel AFTER you've been cleared by the doctor and is free to leave the hospital.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.. :P .. The fourth floor is closed for renovation and all the patients have been moved to the 7th floor. Hence the gathering of nurses on the 7th floor is twice the concentration on other floors. The majority of them are young Malay nurses with a couple of Chinese and Indian ones. I didn't have a cam with me or else I'd probably put up a few pictures. The ONE wasn't around though and despite my pleas to Kenneth to accompany me, he would have none of it. He'd rather sleep at home. I'll put a few rotten fruits the next time I visit him. More to come.....in the next episode of Nurse : White Uniforms 2 :)

Narrow-minded Politicians..

Read

One word... STUPID. That's all I can say. These are the people that are supposed to be the people's representative. Datuk Rosli Mat Hassan (BN-Dungun) and Mohd Alwi Che Ahmad (BN-Ketereh) should be called Dungu and Kerepot respectively. These racist fiends are actually in our government..imagine that. Not that I'm surprised, but these scums should be sent back to school to re-educate themselves.

"I don't know what the motive is. The ill-mannered young man is a Malay, when we know that Malays are generally polite people." - Alwi Che Ahmad

Firstly, poeple of any race are GENERALLY polite people with the exception of cavemens and maybe some yet to be discovered homo species. Not only Malays. Second, when I first saw the ad, the racism notion didn't even hit me at all until I read about this report in the NST. This just goes to show that these Paleolithic neanderthals can be really stupid, racist and ignorant yet be made into MP's. Sad but true..

As highlighted by this, luckily there are people out there that are sane enough to not get swayed by these baseless accusations. Not that I don't have faith in the general public, just that it's just good to see that people in general and Malays in particular are not racially offended at all when viewing the advert. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the Malay people; it's just these racist bigots that gets on my nerve. They should be removed from office and banned forever from participating in politics. Hmm..then what can they do? I know! They can be sent to colour-pencil factories to learn about colours and dyes so that they won't make stupid generalization based on the races.

Shopping mania

After a relaxing Saturday in the comfort of the breezy but a little hazy suburb of my quiet neighbourhood...came the occasional shopping trip.

Walked for hours.....browsed for hours.....my eyes hurt, my feet hurts, everything hurts..

Girls LOVE shopping...i tell you, they live, breathe, eat shopping. Walked with my mom and sister and they went in and out of stores with the ease of putting chocolates into your mouth. There were some real bargains at Soda and East India. My brother bought some protective gear for his excursions.

As the crowd grew thicker, my patience grew thinner. Had to travel all the way back to Malacca; siblings got school the next day. The trip is relaxing and smooth all the way. Stopped for some westerns at a grill for dinner.

Summary of my day

Went to see 'Hide and Seek' today. An interesting story that keeps your guessing but I didn't really enjoy the climax of the movie. Nevertheless, it's worth the RM6 of the tickets and not to mention the ample space in the cinema. :)

Played a little ping-pong today too. Haha...this is the third time that I'm holding a pingpong bat and hitting a pingpong ball across a pingpong table. Enjoyed it though I wish I could be better. ;) I should practise more often.

Discovered that the STPM results will DEFINITELY be out by 9th of March and hence it will most likely come out sometime this week or next. Scary actually if you really think about it, but i've psyched myself up to just accept whatever that comes of it. :P Brave and cliched words, but i've had 3 months to think about it, and made some decisions. Nothing is finalised yet though, but I'm getting there. Procrastination is the thief of time; well, I suppose I'm one of the best thieves out there, if not the best. :) On a serious note, I'm just not ready for whatever that comes next. I doubt anyone is, it's just that when the time comes for me to make the leap, I step back and shiver. Wussy indeed, but i prefer to err on the side of caution. Yet, Fortune favours the bold. Oh well...i think i'm going to end it here before i ramble a novel out. Take care, guys!

PS. The Reincarnation has just begun its reset. For anyone who is bored and is willing to try out a new game, this is it.
